MORAČA MONASTERY - PICTURE GALLERY
The Moraca monastery was built by Stefan, the grandson of Stefan Nemanja, in 1252. It consists of two churches: the Church of the Assumption and the Church of St.Nicholas. The Church of the Assumption was destroyed in the 15th century and rebuilt in the 16th century.

There are still remains of frescoes from the 13th century representing the scenes from the life of the prophet Elijah. In the early 17th century, Georgije Mitrofanovic, a painter from the Hilandar monastery on Mount Athos, painted the frescoes on the western facade.
