Mount Lovćen has twin peaks, Štirnovik at 1,749 meters and Jezerski vrh (Literally Lake's peak) at 1,657 meters.
There are 1158 plant species on Lovćen, out of which four are endemic. In Ivanova Korita, which is a part of the national park, located at 1200 m altitude, there are several tourist facilities designed for recreation.
Besides its natural beauties, Lovćen is important for its cultural heritage. The road from Kotor in the Boka Kotorska to the top of the Lovćen mountain consists of a series of sharp winding curves, a total of 32 of them. This historic road is famous for its scenic beauty.
Within the national park is also the village Njeguši, with the birth house of the Montenegrin royal family of Petrović. This village is also preserved for its traditional architecture.
On Jezerski vrh there is a summit where in 1974 Njegoš's Mausoleum was built. The burial place of Montenegro's most famous poet and ruler is the most stunning attraction of Lovćen. It has poetically been named Montenegrin Mount Olympus.
